La seconde partie du parcours a été affinée. Il s'agit d'une variante allongée en fonction de l'état des mécaniques et des bonhommes..
 

Pour le séjour à Chiang Rai

Pour le séjour de Madame ce sera là Baantammila Thaïlande 113 Soi 1 T. Wiang, Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai, 57140 Chiang Khong

Le contour du Tour s'améliore et se précise

.La boucle Nord Ouest (Chiang Mai/ Mae Hong Son/Chiang Mai): la montagne, les sources d'eau chaude et les tribus (3/5 jours):

1. Chiang Mai 18/10: arrivée (8:00)  et prendre livraison des phantoms, 11:00 départ
2.  Etape 1 CM -> Pai 128km par la 107 (33km) puis à gauche la 1095 (95km) mise en jambe et familiarisation avec les bécanes  => proposition: dormir dans un resort près des sources, profiter de la station thermale

3. Etape 2 Pai -> Mae Lana et Jabo (43km): village au bord de la frontière, puis Mae Lana -> Mae Hong Son (64km) => prop.: hebergement centre ville
4. Etape 3 Mae Hong Son -> Dot Ithanon (le Mt blanc thai) -> San Kampeng (CM): dernier site de source avant le nord: profiter des eaux et bières à CM

5/ Etape 4 CM -> Chiang Dao mais ç'est déjà positionné

Our trip start to be more precise 

• We will stay in Chiang Mai from October 18th up to 30th.
• We will be 2 people, one experimented (many bike rides in USA) with motorcycle driving license and myself 
• We would like to make a trip in North East Thailand, ( Chiang Mai,  ChiangDao, Fang, Tha Ton, Mae Salong, Doi Tung,  Mae Sai , Sop Ruak, Chiang Saen, Chiang Khong, Chiang Rai , Phayao, CM…): we're working on the tour you're any suggestions…) and we expect to limit our ride at 200/300 km per  day, so around 3000km for the whole trip.

Our wishes

• to rent 2 honda phantoms during our stay (13 days)
• if useful to rent a navigation system (GPS)
• to have informations about assistance and maintenance you should offer during our trip
• to be covered by insurance

•  We confirm availability of 2 x Honda Phantom 200s @ 600 Baht/day for the dates of 18th to the 30th October 2013. Total price for both bikes is 15,600 Baht. 
•  We don't have a GPS for rent but we do sell the detailed GT-rider maps for the areas you have mentioned. 
• We are happy to offer advice and route planning for you. For trip suggestions, with 13 days to spare you can cover a lot of the North Thailand. We would recommend a trip to Mae Hong Son via Pai - very picturesque ( Normally , we recommend 3 night 4 days ). Alternatively, go to the Golden Triangle areas ( minimum 4 to 7 days ). Chiang Dao, Fang, Tha Ton, Chiang Rai, Doi Mae Salong, Doi Tung, Mae Sai, Golden Triangle, Chiang Saen, Chiang Khong, Phu Chi Fah, Chiang Kham, Phayao, Chiang Mai.
• If the bike have any problem of a mechanical ( except punctures ) you just give us a call. I would suggest that if you are in a bigger town or city. There are many Honda dealers or many garages around so you should not have too much problem and we do service our bikes before go out. 
• Also we'll give you refunds when you bring a receipt for us. - All our bikes come with basic insurance. This covers for medical expenses for the rider and passenger and other third party that might get injured in case of accident.
•  We offer an extra insurance policy on top of the price for 100 Baht/day this insurance covers for any accident damage to the bike up to the full value of the bike. With this policy the first 20,000 Baht of any damage is paid by the customer everything else is paid by us.
• The insurance does not cover for theft. In ten years we have never had a big bikes stolen. 
• We provide chain + padlock. 

La préparation du voyage.

Le choix de la saison

Avec Jacques, mon copain de trente ans.. mais pas à la façon de notre ancien Président, nous avons
décidé de trimbaler en moto nos deux quasi quintaux dans la région montagneuse du Nord de la Thailande. La période des congés scolaires de la Toussaint a été choisie.

La météo s'améliore à cette saison, il ne pleut que 93 litres d'eau au m² réparti sur 8 jours. Le site quand partir fournit de bonnes statistiques.

Le choix de la moto

Pour ce faire le choix s'est porté sur deux moto Honda Phantom 200 cc. Il s'agit d'un modèle

fabriquée pour l'Asie et ne semble guère disponible au delà de cette région. De toute façon, une grande routière serait peu efficaces dans cette zone. Google Map fait une estimation sur la base de 60 km/heure de moyenne. C'est dire que l'on ne peut guère rouler très vite. Un plus gros modèle serait donc du gâchis.

Ce sera donc une Honda Phantom 200cc

Pour le moment nous n'avons pas encore arrêté le loueur. Le meilleur prix n'est pas toujours le meilleur conseiller. En effet, il faut savoir que dans un pays ou l'on ne parle pas la langue et ou les locaux ne manie guère la langue de Skaespeare, cela peut devenir rapidement galère même en cas de simple crevaison. d'ou l'intérêt de prendre en compte le SAV ( service aprés vente). Pour le moment nous avons retenu deux loueurs qui ont pignon sur rue à Chiang Mai.

Le choix du circuit

Ce n'est pas définitif mais le choix s'organise comme suit..au total prés de 800 km à la moyenne de 60km/heure.. c'est dire que les risques d'exces de vitesse doivent être bornés par l'état des routes..
